About this prototype
The real pets’ pixel likenesses are based on photos shared with us. Their activities and short tributes are gentle starting points. Each friend chooses their own little adventures. This browser remembers their recent places when storage is available, and gently advances their activities when you return. Different visitors may see different moments. Visits, hearts and treats belong to this browser session. Code-only lookup demonstrates the experience; sample records are included in the app and are not private credentials. Photo uploads, saved pet records and secure private visits will need additional services.
Try “Luna” for duplicate names or “FERN-7Q2” for a code-only friend. Motion follows your device preference and can be paused. Sound starts off. All pets are always cared for.
Questions about Rainbow Bridge World
What is Rainbow Bridge World?
Rainbow Bridge World is a living pixel-art meadow from Where Animals Shine where beloved pets explore, play and make friends. You can visit in your web browser, find a particular friend, or simply stay a while and watch the little moments across nine connected places.
What is the Rainbow Bridge?
The Rainbow Bridge is the comforting idea of a peaceful place where pets wait after they die, happy and well, until they are reunited with the people who loved them. It comes from writings first shared in 1959 and again in the 1980s and 1990s, including a short story by Edna Clyne-Rekhy, and has comforted animal lovers around the world. Rainbow Bridge World is our gentle, pixel-art take on that idea.
How do I find my pet in Rainbow Bridge World?
Type your pet’s name or their unique visit code into the search under “Find your little friend.” If more than one pet shares a name, each one is listed so you can choose yours. From there you can call them over, give love, offer a little treat or enjoy some gentle play.
How do I add my pet to Rainbow Bridge World?
Select “Request to add your pet” and send a simple request. We’ll guide you through the next steps by email. You don’t need photos or a description of your pet’s appearance to get started.
How is my pet’s pixel-art likeness created?
Each pet’s pixel-art likeness is based on photos shared with us, and their activities and short tributes are gentle starting points. Photos come later in the process, after your first request.
Does Rainbow Bridge World remember my visits?
When storage is available, your browser remembers each friend’s recent places and gently moves their activities forward when you return, so different visitors may see different moments. Visits, hearts and treats belong to your browser session.
Can I explore with a keyboard, or with motion and sound off?
Yes. Use the arrow keys or WASD to move the view, plus and minus to zoom and Home to recenter, or use the on-screen direction buttons. An accessible pet list and visit controls follow the meadow. Motion follows your device preference and can be paused, and sound starts off.
