Contact before visiting
Confirm visiting arrangements and animal availability directly. Some rescues use foster homes, appointments, or a mailing address rather than a public shelter.
About this organization
Connecticut Humane Society's Wilton center provides adoption care for cats, dogs and small companion animals.
How adoption works
Use the official adoption page and contact the organization about its application and available animals.
Meeting the animals
Adoptions begin with an in-person application. Wilton's adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:30 p.m.; confirm holiday changes. Check which campus houses the pet before visiting. Contact the shelter to confirm its current visiting hours and adoption process.
