Yorkville, Illinois
Contact before visiting
Confirm visiting arrangements and animal availability directly. Some rescues use foster homes, appointments, or a mailing address rather than a public shelter.
About this organization
County animal-control shelter providing care and adoption opportunities for dogs and cats in Yorkville.
How adoption works
Complete the appropriate dog or cat application and bring all household members to meet the pet. Visitors complete a waiver; staff review applications in the order received.
Meeting the animals
The department homepage now permits walk-in viewing and strongly encourages appointments. Its adoption page still says appointments are required, so call before visiting to confirm the current arrangements. The distance shown is approximate and based on its ZIP code.
Areas served
Kendall County, Illinois; stray and owner-surrender intake is limited to the county.
Services
Dog and cat adoption, animal sheltering, lost-pet identification, microchipping and animal control.
